Therapeutic Guidelines’ suite of trusted clinical resources continues to expand with the launch of brand new Kidney and Urinary guidelines. Covering a broad range of clinical topics, the guidelines contain 22 new topics, including chronic kidney disease, kidney and ureteric stones, and lower urinary tract symptoms, as well as 6 extensively revised topics on electrolyte disturbances. These additions further strengthen the breadth and depth of guidance available to healthcare providers.
Dr Leigh-Anne Claase, Chief Executive Officer of Therapeutic Guidelines Limited, said this release represents an important milestone for the organization and its customers.
“The new Kidney and Urinary guidelines were developed in response to user feedback about a clear gap in our content,” Dr Claase said.
“For almost 50 years, Therapeutic Guidelines has existed to support the Australian healthcare community in its essential work. This new guideline demonstrates our commitment to continually evolving and improving our products so that we remain a trusted companion for health professionals into the future.”
The guidelines have been shaped with a strong focus on usability, ensuring recommendations are relevant for clinicians working across primary and secondary care.
Dr Caroline Hall, General Practitioner and Chair of the Expert Group, said the collaborative content development process was key to ensuring the guidelines meet the needs of clinicians.
“These guidelines were developed with a clear understanding of the everyday challenges clinicians face in managing kidney and urinary problems,” Dr Hall said.
“The mix of expertise among the expert group and external contributors was key to developing guidance that is both evidence-based and genuinely practical for day-to-day use.”
