Guideline support for resource-limited countries

See What We Do
Healthcare professionals placing their hands together in partnership

Better use of medicines

Treatment guidelines help health workers decide on the right care for their patients. A part of Therapeutic Guidelines, our expertise is in guidelines for countries with limited resources. Most of our work makes sure health teams can access and use treatment guidelines in daily practice. Guidelines that are easy to access can support more consistent treatment and better outcomes. Our activities include free online subscriptions to Therapeutic Guidelines, guideline development support, and a Guideline Host app that works offline.

Guideline Host app

Guideline Host is a free app that puts a country’s own guidelines on health workers’ phones. It works without internet once the app is downloaded. Each country chooses what goes in their app.

Building capacity together

We exchange skills and experience with health professionals working in guideline development. We do this through workshops, reviews, professional exchanges, and an observership program.

About the Partnership Program

For Therapeutic Guidelines, the vision of better health outcomes has never stopped at Australia’s border.

Since the company was established, Therapeutic Guidelines has supported guideline development overseas, from free subscriptions of its treatment guidelines to giving permission for the guidelines to be adapted for resource-limited settings.

Today, the Partnership Program is how we carry out this work. We’re a small, dedicated team within Therapeutic Guidelines, funded by an annual grant from the Therapeutic Guidelines Foundation.

Alongside complimentary subscriptions, we work with resource-limited countries in neighbouring regions to develop and publish locally led guidelines. We help build local guideline apps for health teams, and we also promote knowledge-sharing activities for health professionals internationally.
